Thanks manny, i know not many interested in this swap. But like i said to many others in here, I dont care lol... this is history.

So wiring process is complicated, will have to rewire the car, fuse box in the bay, new fuse box, and fuel resistors and what not. Trying to emulate the system in the rav 4. Thankfully the design in our cars permits it. Not like the MR2.

anyways i have not stopped, it has continued. I hate to post pictures of wiring, but just a few...

Included new wires for speed sensor and reverse light, power steering, and for the water temp sender to gauge ( 2GR does not have it, darn CANBus protocols)

DSCN1500

DSCN1501

also will rewire the DLC1 to the original spot. To trouble shoot fuel pump and the SRS system, everything else was deleted, not needed... Needless to say, new wires were put in...

DSCN1503

all this to EA1, st relay and new fuse box..

DSCN1502

Will not be using anything of the original harness but the plastic fittings and the fuse box, and few connector casing. mostly all is the Highlander original harness.

Found some weather proof relays at they yard, toyota makes them....

DSCN1504

Donor harness from a lexus... (175) worth...

This is what I do with the V6 harness' i build. I pretty much open the entire harness up and then run the wires that will be used. I re-pin all the junction connectors that feed the coils and injectors. Then another relay feeds all the power to the VSV and misc sensors. Some are powered from the ECU like TPS. those all share VC 5V.

also out of the EA1 plug is the 2 white alternator wires, i bought some 10 gauge wire and extend that so it can run along the back of the engine and reach the alternator.

I created an excel spreadsheet to keep track of what wire goes to what connector or splice then i check it off when its complete.

That looks extremely labor intensive, but also kinda fun. I would probably cringe when I first turned the key to start the car haha

crossing fingers and hopng its going to start first time, and hoping there will be no troubleshooting, and hoping the engine is not a dud. so much hope, lol. who knows.....

Lol I know that feeling. It's not until you get really deep into a project that it dawns on you that there are literally thousands of variables that have to go perfectly right. This made me super paranoid when I did my first engine and transmission rebuilds. I kept second guessing my work and pretty much expected some tiny undertorqued bolt to back out and destroy everything. I don't think you have anything to worry about though, you're super organized. looking forward to more updates!

oficial wiring diagram. Not the enhanced version. lol. But the web version...

It needs more tweak. like connections, plugs, and minor details But as is, its pretty understandable...

You guys do understand for "reasons", i cannot blow up this image.

i did capture screen shots from adobe, but you can do a lot with microsoft paint. Look, its portable, in a tablet, you can modify it, and troubleshoot. in paper, it gets lost, crumbled, and or ripped...
