QUOTE(JFrost9 @ Sep 20, 2006 - 8:18 PM) Be careful, ive ruined a lot of things using that damn goof off. Its really strong, and will easily go through your paint, so be careful not to rub too hard, but maybe i just had a cheapo paint job that comes off easily, who knows. yeah, that's why I wiped it down with just plain water afterwards cause I was scared of that. but it doesn't really matter, I plan on getting it painted soon. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

Mine was already off when I got the car, but I was left with the holes cause they never filled them. I think it screws in from the back, but don't quote me.
Question for anyone who has the cursive celica emblem. How exactly did you put it on? Mine has 4 peg things on the back like its supposed to be fit into holes. Do I need to drill holes in my car, or just snap them off and use some form of adhesive, like what the other emblems have? I'm not exactly sure. -------------------- - Be careful when playing leapfrog with a Unicorn -

^ as for the center emblem, you can simply pry them off the same way with the adhesive emblems.. there are two pins on the center emblem, which are locked inside with tiny clips so you'll need to pull them off to break the clips off.
then you'll be left with two little holes. i simply used bondo and resprayed them with a spray can. ^for the cursive celica emblem, what i did i cut off all four pegs and grinded them flat. then i cut up some double sided tape and stuck them on the backside. it'll take some time for this since there are a lot of curves you're gonna have to get around. i think another member here simply drilled holes and stuck them straight in.. but if you do this, be sure you drill the holes at the right places using the ideal sized drill bit for the clips on the pins to lock onto. november 2005 -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I would never guessed you used a spray can paint after the bondo. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

well, if you ever go up to it and look it very closely, you'll see the little specs spray cans make but from afar, you can't even tell..
the spray can i used was specially made to match the color of my car. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Well I finally took the emblems off. I'd post a pic, but my camera's all messed up and I can't connect it to my comp. Anyways it's looks pretty nice. You can kinda tell they were there if you get right up to it, but that's it. Once I put the other Celica emblem there, it should hide that anyways. Which I finally got the emblem, $17.12. Now I just gotta decide how to put it on...

I'm wondering if I took some REALLY fine grit sandpaper and wet sanded the area if it would make it blend better so you wouldn't be able to tell where the emblems used to be.

Gotta let us know if this works or not. I'm hoping the new emblem will cover mine up. It looks like very little amount of dirt stuck to the paint in the vague shape of a C and maybe the E. -------------------- - Be careful when playing leapfrog with a Unicorn -
