I'm actually missing all my emblems because previous owner fixed it out and removed them to cover/replace them with decals/stickers. Lol.

I can't believe I haven't seen this thread since I joined this site.
I'll take some 'sleeping beauty' pics of my hibernating Celica soon.

Quick question for you silver Celica owners. There are some spots on my car that the paint it shat: on my side mirrors and in front of my lenses on the bumper. The vehicle tag in the engine bay says the colour is 199 (Lucerne Silver), but when I look for touch-up paint at my local shops (Canadian Tire, Lord Co), they don't have the same paint code. Now, both these parts that I want to re-paint are on plastic parts, so what's my best bet to paint them? Wet-sand them with a fine sandpaper then use the touch-up? I'm planning on re-buffing my car sooner or later as as a kid, I used to work in car detailing shops, so I know the whole process on making my baby shine.

My next exterior mod is to paint my calipers. I'm planning on going for a bright orange, and maybe plasti-dippin' my rims to gunmetal or a darker grey.

More than likely its because of the paint fade over the years or the car has been repainted. I went to the dealer and they looked at my tag and it said 199 when I told them it doesn't look like its the stock color. Turns out my car has been repainted at maaco just a year before I bought it. For small areas just use a touch up pen or brush. I didn't need to sand it down. You'll need to let that paint cure for awhile before you do any detail work.
