I finished Erynn's car last night. havent had a chance to drive it yet. Ill take pictures tonight when i get it home. but it basically looks exactly like mine but a 7A-FE instead of the 5S-FE.

So here is the big question. how much demand is there for a turbo kit? I can re-produce this kit fairly easy. kit will include manifold with lifetime warrenty, Garrett turbo, intercooler, polished aluminium piping, BOV, FMU for fuel, and all fittings and lines for oil. the only thing that the end user will have to do is drop the small oil pan and have the bung welded into it.

Well, I think demand will depend on price. I for one am still interested in doing a 7A-FTE setup, pending that I find all the parts at a reasonable price to make the expense worthwhile versus an engine swap.

So, in other words, sell a good kit and I'll buy it.

price i was thinking was going to be in the 2500 range. Yes i know you can get a 3S-GTE for that price, but you still have to so all the fab work to install it. But it takes exactly 24 hours to build the kit, so for labor and parts, thats very resonable

I've got a 7 and was thinking about a engine swap, but this might be even better. What kind of results are you expecting from adding the turbo?

I'd go for a turbo kit. +1

Best,

how much would it be pushing?

I know it's just a 7A but, numbers might sway some members. smile.gif

I would definitely be up for one assuming the price isn't too bad. Would also have to see some numbers.

well it looks like using the stock green top 5S-FE injectors work really well. im only making about 5 psi but it scoots. i also dropped in a 7th gen GT-S fuel pump. not sure if they are diferent. if i must then ill upgrade to a walboro 255

So those are stock injectors available on any USDM 5S-FE?

5s injectors? arnt they only like 220cc? i would imagine those would really only work as a temporary thing.. they wont have much headroom above ~140-50whp. (im not a fan of higher than 1:1 FMU's)
i'd at least want some supra 315s in there, which are only good for ~190-200whp.
the smaller walbro would be a good choice for most 7a guys i would imagine.

looks good mang, but dont expect big sales from the 7a guys.
everyone says "im in!!" till they have to pony up. lol
what are the specs on the turbo?

the turbo is a T3 super 60 with a 48 housing. free-revving it makes 3 lbs of boost. its very responsive. Thanks for the heads up on the Supra 310's are those the yello tops? right now there is no management, im using a checkvalve to fool the MAP sensor, and the A/Fs are actually in pretty good shape. going into boost its in the 12's and the more boost the lower they get.

I second what pressure2 said. Yes everyone would not mind a turbo.. but then when you start mentioning that kit costs this much and it will be that much to install it.... people go from yeah to meh because most people here cant even afford to buy wiper blades on their cars. That is partly why so many people on this site do not have a turbo or engine swap done.

^ PessiRusski! biggrin.gif

But yarly. I'd rather just source parts cheaply, like an older turbo with the possibility of being reman'd.

This.

Plus possible installation instructions and I'm in when I have cash for it. I'd prefer to do it myself...learn something lol

Id be interested in an exhaust manifold, if it wont break the bank... Other than that, id prob go along with presure2 and say that with the 5s injectors, youre not going to get much out of your setup. Its hardly worth $2500 to hit 150hp when you could source your own stuff and get close to 200, if not more.
And as for the Supra injectors, the yellow and black topped ones are low impedance, the lime green topped ones are high impedance. Youll need to make a resistor pack for the low impedance ones on a 7a.

nevermind just looked it up, 7M-GE injectors. they are all over Ebay, so ill try a set of those. the only problem with getting bigger injectors is that need management for idle.
