its might look pretty cool, but there a pain in the arse... thats how my bimmer was... it gets to be a pain, also im sure it would be a lil pain to gt it to work right.. i mean you would have to move a good amount of latches an shet... my opinion, another usless-even more a pain-mod

I think it would be cool but has anyone ever thought of a split hood conversion and yes it is a pointless mod but it would be cool all the same.

Not that hard... two new latches so you dont mess up your stock ones.. a little cuttin here and weldin there and wala! for a little more detailed install... 2 gas shocks, 2 5th gen hood latches, 1 5th gen celica trunk release male side and female side. and a new cable ![]() ![]() -------------------- ![]() 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

IMO, the money could be put to much better use elsewhere. This type thing would look great on an all out showcar, but would probably be more cost than its worth for a daily driver.

But you have the ability to install the parts, like a welder and the ability to use it. And most people are too nervous about screwing something up to just start cutting and welding on their car. |

ok, now really there is a reason, that they made the hood as they did. Hey lets waste some money-how ever much- and time, to make it harder to work on my engine, really it makes it a pain. .. but what ever floats your boat. and just in-case, you might wana look at a older bimmer hood.. just to get an idea, of what exactly you need to do with your hood.. cause im, pretty sure you wont be able to just swap your hinges.. you need a lift motion, ... eh screw it.. go for...
