Sorry, but I need to vent. Some stupid f**k backed into my car today. I walked up and my alarm was going off and I was like what the hell and then my friend noticed my rear passenger tail light was hang off. The guy was still sitting there so I got all his info. It looks like I'm going to need a new tail light and the piece that goes between the lights that the license plate is connected to and there's some scratches on the bumper and trunk lid. The guy said that he didn't even see my car, dumbass.
Maybe with a bit of luck, I can get a set a Curren tails instead, so if anyone knows where I can pick up a set, please let me know ASAP. |

make sure to take it to the most expensive body shop and get the highest estimate
I hit a 1989 ford tarus station wagon and the damage was like a quarter size hole in the rear bumper, they made a 700 dollar claim This post has been edited by brianforster: Mar 22, 2004 - 8:30 PM |

Sounds like the guy was waiting for you to show up, so be just as considerate as he was and take it to a reasonible priced body shop. The guy could have just drove off and you would be paying for it yourself right now. |

insurance is calculated on points, accidents are given a point value so thats how much they will go up. if you claim 100 bucks, his insurance is gonna go up relatively the same as if you claim 1000. it doesnt screw him, it screws the greedy insurance company fags |

yes, but if his co-pay is 500 then he has to pay for the first 500 bucks of the damage. so the reasonable priced body shop is better if you are trying not to screw him. |

not true if you are at fault(i.e. your insurance is paying for someone elses damage you pay nothing) but to fix your car you pay the first 500 of the damages if your deductible is 500. trust me i know.
