Well... my kit for my MR2 is going to arrive with the next week or so
BUT i have a limited ammount of money to work with... if i get the kit painted and installed its going to use nearly all my cash, and i wont be able to work untill june because of school. so... the question is, should i get the kit painted and installed? OR save it and use some during the school term, then use the rest towards my Celica in the fall. my choices: -Spend the cash, and make the MR2 look DEAD sexy all summer long, have fun low cost style up at school, and then work my ass off at work from june till october and save up enough for my celica -Spend the cash, same as above. get a job workin the desk in the dorms or rec center or somethin like that up at school, use that cash for spending money and towards the celica, then work june till october and have the cash for the celica -Save the cash, admire the kit in my basement at home, spend some cash during the school term, and have the rest as a good start towards the celica. im leaning towards choice A... Even though it obviously gives me the lowest ammount from the 3 choices when i go to buy my celica in the fall. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... I would say B, get a job now, so you still have that extra cash... then just dont work as much during the summer... of-course for me, when i worked, thta was the best place to sport my car, ont he way in, an out...

I like plan B. It gives the MR2 the attention it deserves, and allows you to have some money to spend on the weekends.

i think ive decided to go with choice D.
install the kit, chill and have fun up at school in my freetime instead of getting a job for the 3 months im there, and in the summer/fall im going to pick up a 93-96 Honda Civic DX hatch. my reasoning: -cheaper -still a nice reliable car (even though much slower and not as good looking) -still get to have fun at school -still get to have fun drivin the MR2 with the kit installed -i work my ass off for 6 months a year, and the other 6 months i bust my ass in class and with school work for an average of 5+ hours a day... i need some time to just hang out -easy and cheap to fix if something goes wrong flame me all you want lol -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... There ya go. Dont work to hard when youre in school...thats what the rest of your life is for.
Definately pimp the MR2 as much as you can though. It would suck to stare at the kit all summer if you couldnt use it, so put it on and enjoy it as much as you can. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

ok, I follow right up to the part where you decide to buy a civic. why not spend a little more and get a celica. I'm sure you could find a 94 in need of a little tlc for around the same price.

If you are going to go with honda go with a CRX there are a couple of reasons one it looks better that a civic HB and it is lighter than on also. CRX = dead sexy. I have friend that has one and when he is finished with it, it will be a road weapon and I don't know of many cars that will be able to handle it.

i like the CRX idea, i was actually thinking about it, but i dont think the lady friend would be too thrilled. she hates the idea enough of a civic lol let alone a CRX haha... she doesnt even like the MR2 very much... oh well.
