I just got a set of Indiglo gauges and installed them without taking off the entire needle, just taking off the caps. I used double sided tape and taped down the gauges and whenever i put the caps back one the tach stuck at 3 K and the speedometer wouldn't work at all. Then I popped off the caps to try and they worked fine, but now i have red lights shining through the center where the caps were.
any suggestions on what to do? Thanks |

make sure the dubble sided tape isn't sticking out into the whole where the needles go, cause the caps hangdown lower than the needle and can get stuck on the tape, also make sure that the gauge face is stuck down nice and tight around the needle opening cause if its up even a lil bit the needle will stick

Have you removed the origianl dials or placed new one on top?
Remove originals and all will be fine. No more sticking. Simmo |

Hi
You're right, you don't need to take off the original gauges - the indiglo's are made to be overlayed over your originals. Take a look at this post from back in february - it might be helpful. -------------------- |

Hi Guys,
I removed the original dials, which are overlays themselves on the UK spec, doing this solved my problem of sticking needles. To remove I just snipped the original ones to the centre, took them off, used a pin with a head to replace the original needle rest. Worked for me. Hope this helps Simmo |
