I was thiking about getting two 12" audibahn subs. If you wanted a very nice soundsystem I assume that two running off a 1100 watt amp which is half the possible rms for these subs is better then one running off the max 1100 watts in cleanliness of the hit correct? Also, I know everyone says a good amp is critcial... so if I wanted 1100 - 2200 rms out of an amp... I assume the legacy amps off ebay are junk, so what type would you all look at for cost vs preformance. I dont NEED To blow the socks off everyone, I just want to have a real clean system, and I kinda want to blow off socks if im in the mood

So your subs are 1100w rms right? A-bahns have overrated RMS, I'd throw 750w to each of them and call it a day. What impedence are they? I'g go with a Hifonics bx1500d

600$? way outa my price, for that I would get a Audibahn that does 2400 rms how good are Hifonics BX 1500D? Never heared of it, legacys are crap right?

If you don't plan on competing go with something simple like 2 10"s but if really want two 12"s look on ebay there always good prices on Alpine 12"s you can find them in pairs for about $200. Legacy, Profile, and Jenson are all crap. Audiobaun, Fascate, Kicker are all overrated |

Hifonics are good for the money. Solid amps, decent quality.
Profile is not CRAP, for the price you pay, you get decent shlt, they do rated power. Thats crazy putting profile on the same level as legacy/jensen What model are your A-bahns? KICKER is NOT overrated....there amps are underrated, subs the same.... |

I am going to have to sat that they are profile burn out way to easily I have seen a dozen times.
Kicker does make good stuff but for the money I would put it some where else.  |

I would also look at the Audiobahn AW1200Q subs. I know for a fact that they hit very well in a 1.25cubic ft per sub sealed enclosure in the celica Then you can run the A1300HCT to power them or the A12001DT. Sorry I'm only mentioning Audiobahn amps but hey its where I work. I get to test our products in my car all the time. But I have installed other equipent when I was working for a shop be for I came to work for Audiobahn.

If your going audiobahn, go ported. A-bahns get loud, but sound like donkey doo doo. They shine ported.......that is, if you have the space.

Finding a sub that can get louder than a L7 is hard to find in the same price range............ Amps are a tad overpriced IMO, but they are quality, and underrated....... Profile, The California Series? Great amps for the money. Have had over 5 amps from the CA line, all good results. |

i think the L7 is one on the loudest subs for the money out there right now. you can find them for about 250. can you name some louder subs for around 250? |
