i was wondering how does the light inside the trunk get power. The light doesnt turn on and i cant figure out if i need a battery or a connection. (Im reffering to the light on the right side of the trunk in a 1997 Celica GT). Please help

check first the bulb. If youve done that already check the switch itself. Its like a door light, when you open the trunk it goes on. The switch might be stuck closed.

Lastly check the connection.

Try your headlights. And the only reason I say that, is that my glovebox light will not turn on unless the headlights are on. Go figure!
