Today, this morning approximately 7:20 A.M.
A student driver was on his way to school in a hurry. Everything was fine until something happend. Ahead was a Toyota Corolla in front of him and a bridge tht leads to his school. Before entering the bridge the student slowed down to have the Corolla go further away from him. When the time was right but was really wrong the student than sped up the bridge. As he did so, focused as he is, he noticed the corolla slammin hard on his brakes making the car come to an almost complete stop.

The surprised student used his brakes to slow down at all possible costs to avoid an accident. Challenging the turn at 60 mph, 10 mph lesser than he normally do, two types of collision could happen but neither is unavoidable due to the way both drivers were driving at that time. One of the possibility of collision is the student hitting the rear of the corolla because it was doing around 10 mph. Now, as the two cars almost uniting the corolla than sped up and flee'd leading the student to suffer from another problem. The students car started to lose control. He described it felt like the car was drifting but says that the experience is unlike normal driving.

As the car losted control the driver did not think for a split second to use the e-brake which might've saved his car. But the time happened so fast that it is impossible to think. From the students vivid memory he states to us how it happend. "First the car was going really strong turning left on a right-turn bridge. So i with two hands immediately turned the steering wheel to the right and bam it was going hard on the right than i went left and near the exit i hit the ramp with his front bumper. The damage was pretty devastating. Both the low and high beams on the driver's side are completely busted. The front bumper is wounded.

Shocked, the student quickly drove off to find a place to stop to check on his cars damage. As he parked his car on the right side curb and his heart began to beat unevenly. "I am in deep crap" saying to himself. Many blinding questions fill his mind that cause him to lose focus of school and all he wants to do is think about it right now at this moment. Time does fly in situations like this. He did managed to arrive right on time.

All in all, although that could've been avoided if he went the other route. But no one can see the future...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jinxed? I've had a bad feeling about this when i first drove in it and that something might happen.

Foretold? Unexplainable..

Maybe it wasn't jinx itself(if it exists). It was my stupidity.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My parents are gonna really screw me up. Since i'm asian i'll be getting a longggg lecture and everything. You know what it is.

I'm soo stunned now that I think the way i'm writing/saying/feeling is different today.

I don't even know what to say right now to you guys. I'm very sorry.

This is why you shouldn't drive too fast on the streets. On snow/rain, you have to drive extra slow. I learned this lesson a few years ago, when I got into a accident for the first time. I was driving too fast, and did not have enough time/distance to stop the car when the car in front suddenly stopped.

I feel your pain man. I was just at the local burger king and while I was checking my order I let the brake go (not thinking) when some kid ran right out the side door RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY CAR mad.gif I looked up and saw him in time, it was him or the curb. My rear left rim has a huge gouge in it that spans three spokes. This was one hour ago. All you guys be careful out there. There is some bad mojo going on here. I have to find a place that can repair it or I'll just have to buy a new one, which puts a dent in the money I have for engine parts. So much for that frown.gif . Like I said, I feel you.

Before I start replying I would like to thank all of you guys for sharing your experiences with the community and supplying comfort to the ones who became victims of something horrible(when it is seriously needed).

As far as I'm concerned i've planned to not report this to my insurance company(all state-two way) simply because I don't want the car to be marked as salvage title. You might think the reason why i do this is because in the future i might sell it away and people are more in favor of clean title cars. It is not likley to happen.

Since my car has been damaged pretty bad here are a few things that need to be replaced:
Hood(stock or...)
Front bumper(stock or...)
Driverside panel
Driverside headlights(low+high beam)
Estimate cost = $1,200...

I'm thinking about repainting the car with nice flames(whitesh) of my own hand-drawn design and have it colored silver.

Honestly, there have been many incidents that could have resulted me in immediate death but i lived through the impossibility of surviving.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My car may have gone through its first form of injury but you know what? It ain't over yet!

-Thanks for reading. I don't know what i'm really feeling right now. 6ood9ite.

Unfortunately ive had a rough moment lately too.....i dunno why all this crap is happening.

I actually just got my lisence about 4 months ago, but ive already learned some relaly important lessons that im glad ive come to grips with now, and not later when its too late or something. Some a$$ decided that itwas a good idea to stop in the lane of oncomming traffic at night and stop to get his mail. He even dimmed his lights, acknowledging that he saw me comming, and he was driving towards his mailbox in my lane as soon as i peaked over a hill frown.gif Scared the lving crap outta me, i was sure that he would smash into me head on, so i turned into a guys yard as a last ditch effort not to collide with him. Ends up he was stopping for his mail in my lane.....point of story is, i learned that even though driving this nice little car makes it enticing to rip though the gears and just have fun, you realy gotta watch yourself, be patient, and drive defensively, because some people just suck at driving, and have no common sense. rolleyes.gif

Thats my story......im sorry to hear about everyone else who wasnt as fortunate and sustained damage/injury. Just be carful guys, life isnt a race, and just look out, thats all.

you have to be carefull no matter what the conditions are even if its REALLY nice.. I was coming home from chicago about 3 years ago in my prelude.. it was night time but really nice out. I was gettin off of 55 on to I80. the speed limit was posted at 55 so naturally I was doin 75+. newayz the on ramp was a "S" shaped one and as I was takin the left turn of it I hit a pot hole about a foot round and it blew out my front passenger tire. which made my prelude spin to the right.. pointin my front end directly into the gaurd rail.. I had no time to slow down. thankfully for me the prelude is very low to the ground in the front and I managed to hit the gaurd rail in a manner that lifted up the rearend and turned the passenger side into the gaurd rail and the side of the car absorbed most of the impact....probably saved my life cuz that gaurd rail was ****ed! I ended up drivin the car up onto the interstate (damn honda motors will take enthing). while I was sitting on the side of the road 3 state officers drove by me and didnt even stop! damn cops... newayz after I relized that I was too far from home for my cell phone to work and noticed that it was 30 miles to the nearest town I seached for a hole in the ditch that was big enuf for me to get the blown tire over with a little room to spare underneth.. the vehicle was resting on the ground. newayz I manged to get the spare onto the car with only a little bit of trouble and then had to drive 180 miles home on a spare with VERY badly brused ribs and a a cracked knee cap ( which I found out about later)... that was the longest 180 miles in my life.. I had to pull over 4 or 5 time to get sick cuz of how much pain I was in.

All that just because I thought that I didnt have to worry about the roads cuz it was nice out.

BTW I drove buy the same guard rail about 6 months later and some one had laid flowers down where the accident happened... must of thought that some one had died there... will say that it kinda looked like someone did
