I did a search on this topic and didnt really find a similar situation. I was driving home last nite from kentucky when all of a sudden my indiglo gauges just turned off. I have them hooked to my dimmer reverse of the stock so when they r on the rest of my interior lights are off (i dont like the green..lol) but anyways i turned my dimmer to the stock lights then turned it bak and my indiglos went bak on no problem. then 5 min later they turn bak off the same way and now i can only get them to flicker on for a moment as i turn my dimmer. anyone had this happen or have an idea of what it could be? i was thinkin a bad connection but i havnt had time to chek out the wiring b/c i got home at 3am and had to be at work at 9. any help is appreciated

i had a similar problem once, but it may not be the same thing, mines kept turning on and off too, when i took out the gauges, the fuse holder had been crushed when i first put them on cuz it didnt fit in there. just a suggestion.

check the dimmer knob....the connector that plugs into it comes loose sometimes and causes the gauges not to light up.

check the fuses under your steering wheel. the guage light fuses require the 7.5 ones

*bump*
Still cant get em to stay on. dont think its a fuse b/c they still get power but they only stay on for a second then turn off. Im running outta options here.... mah last thought is the transformer that came with the gauges is fried b/c i have had them for 2 yrs -------------------- I am ever so thankful for the 'Ignore User' capability on this forum.

My guages came with a big warning not to use the dimmer as a power source. The transformer needs a full 12 volts. It's possible you cooked the transformer.
