For those of you who have installed your own coilovers...how long did it take

When I installed my Ground Controls it took my friend and I about 3-4hrs.
Grinding down the housings isn't that bad. You have to get it down to a 2" diameter in order for that sleeve to sit correctly. You don't have to grind alot off, just get those edges rounded off. We used a grinder, but I've heard others use a dremel too. Whatever works for you.

The RR's are what we had a problem with, mostly bcus of the swaybar link. We couldn't get it off with the right tool. Since my car was up on the jacks already, we had to borrow a dremel from his neighbor across the street to grind down the housing while it was still attached to the car. I'd recommend changing those if you're car is older and rusty underneath there.

Just make sure you get that RR link tightened on correctly since you messed with it.

Man so you didn't cause any damage from the rear falling off the jack stand?
Good thing no one was injured.

Post some pics of your drop.
