I have my mine made up. I'm getting 18x7in Enkei RS6 rims. The only thing I'm undecided on is tires. I live in Rhode Island, which is home to the most unpredictable weather. I drive around town alot and alot of the roads have potholes and all sorts of nasty things. My first tire size that I'm seriously thinking about getting is 215/40/ZR18. I figure a need a little extra rubber in width to protect from curbs. Anybody have any suggestions?

I have terrible streets around her, as do you...and i have decided to get 215 40 18s when i get the rims..im getting 18 x7.5 Paradyme F220s....i would go with Yokohama Parada Spec II...i have heard nothing but good things about them..only thing that they aren't good with is wet traction but if you drove it cant be that bad....but i might get Kuhmo Ecsta Supras..i haven't made up my mind yet...

Nahhh I heard the Paradas hydroplane like a bastard. Dry traction is good but i think these are the ones the had asymetrical tread design so you can't put them at any corner when rotating and such. I've heard ALOT of great feedback about the Kumho Supra 712's, like great wet/dry handling. It's a summer tire though so don't get this if you will use it to deal with snow.

Nothing works 100% awesome in all weather.
Just buy the tires for whatever weather your in or about to be in and get those. If your just coming out of winter, then wait until next winter to buy some snow tires and then just do a 4 tire mount. $3.50/tire@Walmart. Might get it for free if you buy both sets of tires from the same place. |
