According to the faq this would be the easier of the swaps since I have an ST. But has anyone actually done this yet? I know mynzeyes gave up on his attempt. I'm probably just going to go ahead and do the 3sgte swap since more have done it and more info is available. But since the 4agze clip is only $1000 shipped it would be a cheaper swap to do, if it is actually possible.

it will be hard to find someone to do the wiring. i don't think mike is doing anymore wiring. Ryan(FAQ) has since shipped his wiring over to Malaysia, etc. This swap has never been documented as being completed. the 3sgte is obviously an easier swap. mine is very close, but it's changing hands, and going to Sev.

Yea I'll probably go for the 3sgte its a stronger engine and it seems to have more available info on it.

How come mike isn't doing anymore wiring?

Hey since you're in ky too, I have a friend who is in the process of put the 4agze in his corolla. He's almost got the wiring done from what I've heard. Maybe I can get ahold of him for you and get some info about it from him for you.

man..... how can the wiring be so bad people give up? doing a 20V is almost the same, and there's several people here who have done that one... the only diff between a 20V and a GZE is the fact that the gze has like 2 or 3 sensors more than a standard 4age...... and the 20V has vvt on top of that, which complicates things

get a 1/2 cut and it won't be THAT hard...... it's been done time and again on ae92's, ae86's, ae102's, and even several prizms......

there is a guy in LA that installed an mr2 SC engine into a late 80's tercel for someone who lives a few miles away from me.

took him two weeks to get the engine in and wire it up.

car runs great and he is boosting 16psi at sea level.

i know its not in a celica but it cant be too much different.

^^^ my point exactly.... it was probably an older tercel... the older ones used a 3a-c motor (A series motor... 4agze would drop right in... if it was an E series motor a 4e-fte woulda been a better idea)

Well I really am not to good with wiring. When it comes to mechanical stuff on a car I can do anything that is no problem, but doing the wiring would be my downfall.

95sthatch, that would be cool, I'm only about 45-50 minutes from frankfort, I'm in Louisville.

i know that guy that you're talking about. We met him at the Races in Ontario of the 10 freeway.

He has a shop and actually gave me props for me having done my swap alone. He's a cool cat. I have his # somewhere, I would just need to look for it.
