So I got my Alpine CDA-9833. I'm waiting on the mounting brackets from Toyota. My original brackets were stolen with the deck, no doubt the burglar had a Celica. Can anyone tell me if these brackets just screw in to the side of the console and then the deck or if there is a more extensive mounting process.
If so, what's a good mounting kit? Oh and in case anyone wants a quick product review, got the Eclipse SE8363s, 100 per pair. 3-ways, good deal, good sound. Waiting for 5.1 to become standard (2 years or so) before I drop big bucks on audio. And I know that last sentence will piss a lot of people off. Probably like the psycho guy in Something About Mary when Ben Stiller suggests 6-minute abs. Anyone have the Kenwood 5.1 system already? -------------------- |

Back to the question 1st question.. The double din bracket (it is only 1 part) has five frontal screws, and then it is nomal side screws for each din to fit inside it. It is like a square cage that your decks slide into. I had trouble fitting the anti-theft mount that came with my sony deck, so I just screwed the deck in without it.

The guy who stole it probably wasnt going to waste time sitting in your car unscrewing them. He's going to grab and go.

Can we get an admin on here to make up some sarcasm emoticons?
