can you swap a 5 spd. transmission from a 91 GTS in my ST. cause i found a 91 celi GTS for 600 bucks, and my dad was wondering if you can swap the parts into my car.

it wont bolt onto a 7afe, the gts has a 5sfe

Do you have a GT Tranny or ST? And would the GT tranny work on the ST without modifications? I think that might be a lot of work... |

since thats out of the way, whats a good transmission (5 spd. of course) to get for my engine. im going to try and get a trans. swap at the end of the summer .

you best bet, gets whats made for it.. just find a st man tranny .. if I go with swaping mine.. i will have mine for sale.. also I have a clutch with less then 4k on it.. Lemme know if your intrested, cause that might get me moving faster lol.

read my swap info. put only your year trans in your style car. example: 96 st only get a 96 M/T becasue your drive axles will match up. I have come to find out that there are two types of drive axles. Ones with flanged ends that bolt on and ones with knuckles that dont bolt on. Make sure you get the right one so stay with your year celi.
