So how DO they ride??? And yes, you probably should get it aligned to be safe, so you dont wear down your tires uneven.

94gtCelica...how is the ride difference? Is there a noticable change from going from stock shocks to KYB's? I really need to know. Can't decide between KYB's and Koni's. I'm on stock shocks still with my GC's on. Lowered mine about 2" and I then raised it up to a 1.5" drop bcus my ride was hella bouncy. I heard that putting on KYB's was like riding on stock shocks? And there wasn't that much of a difference. Please post some info. smile.gif

CelicaQT: I changed my stock shocks for kyb Gr-2s but no noticeable change for me... I would recommend only to change if your stock ones are getting very old and leaking.

you almost always have to change your shocks when you add lowering springs or coilovers to your car correct?

No!
Only if the drop is like 1.75" or greater is when you should really change your shocks. Other than that your stock should be ok until they blowup.

wouldn't it be better to change your shocks instead of having them blow up and then just have to do it then? why not do it all at the same time and get it over with.. rolleyes.gif

Go for the Koni's Have trust in the brand and quality. It cost more but you will never have to replace them. If you get OEM ones like KYB's they will end up blowing on yah.

I got Koni and GC's and the ride is pretty good now. I dropped it pretty low.

I payed 1200 canadian installed in my car. and I payed 750 canadian for the Ground Control Coilvers installed in my car. If I did them together I would of saved on installation but I had no idea that I can't ride on factory shocks with the Ground Controls.
