What car are we talking about here? I've seen 3S-GTE engines in all kinds of Toyotas, even in a Civic.

Also, what generation 3S-GTE, and where is it from?

Until you clarify what you're asking, we can't help you. Correct grammar will make more people want to help you out too. wink.gif

Hi

Let say you have a GT-4 and want to give it 550-600+ bhp
would that be hard? And what would the cost be? (which parts and manufactures?)

Cheers

That kind of hp is gonna cost you. Your starting off with an engine that is a little less that 250 hp. Your gonna have to build up all of you engine internal (rods, pistons, gaskets, etc.). You'll want to bore out your cylinders a little bit, a few 3sgte forged piston's that I have seen require this. Port and polish the head. Bigger turbo and intercooler. Custom exhuast and headers. There's lots more things but this would get you started. Your easily looking at a couple thousand, but if you can do the work yourself you will save a ton of money.

Welcome chris, anyways, there is 5 gens of 3SGTE's so it depends on what you want. Most do the 2nd gen because thats easier than the others.

Going High HP will definately be expensive. You will pay over 5000 and sometimes thats just parts.

et say you have a GT-4 and want to give it 550-600+ bhp

your looking at more like $20000 minimum

Garrett Turbo conversion specifically for gen 3 3sgte = $3000
Forged engine internals and engine rebuild/ stroker kit= $4000 (not including build)
Big FMIC with hard pipes = $1500
HKS 270 degree cams= $400
Uprated fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, hks 1000 cc injectors, HKS fuel rail= $900
Uprated TTE crank= $1000
Uprated Blitz clutch and flywheel = $1600
Larger gearbox cooler $500
Apexi power fc/ Motec + boost controller $1600
3 inch aussie exhaust downpipe $240
3 ich aussie flexi section $600
3 inch C-one exhaust $700

youve also got colder spark plugs, intake, adjustable cam gears, thicker head gasket, ARP head studs, big end bearings, water injection

then youll need to uprate the brakes and suspension

so thats $16040 and thats not even a complete list, then you have to get it all installed and mapped so how in the hell the $5000 for parts idea was made i dont know lol
