Also, what are the pros and cons of each??? Im looking to build a quartermile car. I forgot to add the 4A-GE(20 valve) as an engine option in poll too. Accually any semi-easy engine swap for a quartermile, ive been saving and by the time i find the engine & accessorys ill be ready for the birth of a monster.
PS: When i get a new engine im FULLY racing out my celi, mechanically & cosmetically. This post has been edited by Dr-Dansksta: Aug 3, 2004 - 7:04 AM |

4agze is my vote. But that's not an option.
-------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

i would say 3s-gt3 .. just cause its the most powerfull.. I doubt that new scion motor will even fit, let alone be worth the money its going to cost, maybe around 5-6k .. do the 3s-gte

blacktop 4age and turbocharge it, dont go 4AGZE i read on a website that it cant really bring out as much tq/hp gains as a non supercharged version, or i'd go for a BEAMS 3SGE engine personally (i dont know if this is possible, but get some low comp. pistons and all and then turbo that out!). and why would you want a tc engine when you could put in a 4ag(z)e or a 3sg(t)e engine in there and be far better off?

If you're making the car a 1/4 mile straight line car, get the 3S-GTE...a high-boost turbo twenty valve 4A-GE is going to cost more than a 3S-GTE putting out the same amount of power, and although either way has good potential, it's going to be cheaper to get the 3S-GTE up to higher horsepower levels than the 4A-GE.
Are you going to do the swap yourself? I'm down in Yakima, and you'll have to make it out to one of our Northwest meets sometime soon. If you want to meet up this weekend, there's a big Toyota meet that's gonna be a lot of fun. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
