I asked for a kenwood music keg for my birthday, comin up on september 5th biggrin.gif

It looks like this: Music Keg

It's dimensions are: 9-1/16"W (with cable) x 2-11/16"H x 8-11/16"D

I'm thinking a nice, safe place to install this would be in the glove compartment, because it would be out of sight, plus it can be locked in. By my measurements it will fit, but I'm worried about the fact that it's flat on the bottom, and the glove compartment is somewhat curved.

Would it be a good idea to put maybe a flat piece of wood or something underneath it to level the surface and then screw through them both?

Does anyone see any downsides that I don't about having it in the glove compartment, besides taking up a pretty large amount of space?

Or can anyone think of a better place to put it? I want it out of sight, but still able to be seen by guests in the car. I don't like the idea of putting it under the seat because I'm afraid of theft or of it getting damaged.

Thanks for any help or suggestions everyone.

Heh yeah its a 20 GB hard drive for mp3s so I don't have to switch CD's anymore. Even with mp3 CDs I find myself wanting all my music in my car at once. There's always a song I want to hear and it's never on the CD I have in.

20GB which is supposed to be about 10,000 songs...basically all you should need unless you have a lot of unnecessary music.

Anyway, just ordered it today, I have to pay $100 out of $350...I negotiated for my parents to pay tax and there ended up being none because it was shipped from out of state frown.gif I still can't wait!

edit: more like about 5,000 songs. But I only have 1500 as of today so no biggie biggrin.gif
