Anyone have ideas on how to build a custom box for (2) 12" subs while being able to get the spare out? i have a hatchback. if the box has enough airspace, i will use the 12" subs, but if im cut short, i guess ill have to use 10" subs, or at the very least (1) 12" sub. i just have to be able to get the spare out.

You could have the two subs on one side of the trunk, or a sub on each side in a fiberglass enclosure. smile.gif

they still need enough airspace to push the Eclipse aluminum subs, but i cant cover the spare. just behind the seats wont be enough space, unless i only get 1 sub.

i thought of that crazycel, but it would take a lot longer to build, but i might have to take the extra time. C3L1CA, how much airspace do you get out of that? it looks like you dont get hardly any, and it would be too hard for me to do that anyway. btw, it looks really nice, but id have to get rid of sony unless i didnt have the money for others.

im working on it right now for my car... i am putting the subs in the corners of where the sides and the back of the seats meet....im angeling the subs up and inward and i am going tomake it go up to the deck...i have 2 pioneer 10's but it should work for 12's also...instead of just makin the box straight across in the back which would cover the spare i am roundign that part out to go around the cover for the spare...good luck with however u end up doing it

There isn't much air space behind the subs but it leaves alot of trunk space open for cargo and alot of compliments. I wouldn't do it though trying to put on the vader back bumper you have to take the subs out and rip off the back carpet. Good luck with it and hope to see something cool

i already have the vader rear on there...i jsut haven't had a chance to take a pic of it b/c my car is 3 hours away at home and im in college right now...but i am designing it to be fitted around the side pannels like it were to be molded to them but i am leavein a space so the subs can still be removed if needs be...
