OK so out at the street races tonight i meet this girl with a 3g eclipse.....rippmods supercharged...bomex kit...VERY NICE......
She works with Rippmods on a personal basis and is at the shop quite often.. i talked to her about how we could get a supercharger for the 7afe. here are the qualifications i got...... 1) 10 people 2) pre-paid 3) 6 month wait period for research, design, and development 4) on the 6th month you will have it in your hands and to put on your car stock internals you can do 12 psi.....she is running that right now on her car and its sweet...... just an idea to through out if anyone is interested *edit*-SHE IS LEGIT.....she is my friends roomate...and she is soon to be an authorized rippmods dealer This post has been edited by playr158: Aug 27, 2004 - 11:48 PM |

Saw a 3G Eclipse and a Stratus R/T at a show with a RIPP supercharger. Both were badass, especially the new Stratus R/T.

superchargers create less heat and generate the same boost all the time, so no worries of overboosting or anything like that.
if ripmods created a charger for the 7afe, no one would buy it. just like no one bought their 5sfe charger. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

yea 12 on stock cause as lagos explained^^^
but its 4k so you have to think would you rather swap or supercharge???? oh and it comes with all the computer stuff......a blackbox to manage the engine/air/fuel....ITS All in the package PLUS ITS ALREADY TUNED WHEN ITS DELIEVERD.......so in ONE SHOT you have emanage, fuel manage, everything...... |

give me $4k and an ST and i will make a more powerful turbo setup running 10psi as reliably as the rippmods sc will run. im not really a fan of SC's on 4 cylinders, takes too much power to make power and im sure it would be cheaper than $4k, probably closer to $3k, total down time being 1 week for the install and 1-2 months to gather parts, because i like to shop around. sure you could swap for the same price, but i hate down time dont count on the "black box" being tuned very well, you cant tune a forced induction setup in one place to have it work properly everywhere else. thats exactly why car manufacturers have their cars run rich from the factory as extra insurance. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

Thats what I was thinking too, I doubt she knows that much about cars they probably just hook her up and send her out to get attention. No offense to any girls out there that actually know what they are talking about. |

haha you guys "she doesn't know much about cars" thats funny she knows more than any WOMAN i've ever come across..she works for the government and KNOWS her ****......everything she knows, actually the boxes come tuned very well and rippmods is known for their good stuff. and the 12psi is a very close estimate on what the supercharger will run....and that is the general stage 1 SC for all applications that rippmods makes. as for will the supercharger fit the 7afe---DID YOU READ THE TITLE???!?!?!?!?!
