If i was to fine a GT-4 body and transmission (body in ok shape, things can be replaced, and the trans. in perfect working order) but no engine, cpu, interior, what not, doesn't matter, dash stuff. None of that, would i be able to get it over here? (LHD, so germany or something).

what are you planning on doing with a completely stripped gt4 shell? Using just the body pieces? If you're goign to do that just have them send you the body pieces... shipping the whole subframe will cost a crap load more.

I was going to drop my secret engine into it, redo the whole interior, and have the all-wheel drive

i would do it just to get that awd set up if the price is right...also depends how much your gonna end up paying for it....if the body is good enough where you dont have to spend soo much on body work i would go for it....

First of all, good luck finding GT4 in Europe cheap (i speak from my own experience...) 94 GT4 in Europe costs about 10 - 12K Euros (bout 12-14k $)... And to find damaged one is like 1 chance from 100...
Second thing, it would be way easyer to get one from japan with easy damage, and convert it to LHD... This post has been edited by doGGy: Oct 1, 2004 - 7:52 AM -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

12,500-15k is a little more accurate (i used a currency converter), the USD has dropped quite a bit... but the fact still remains about it becoming a DOT approved car as in it will not have a vin, it would still have restrictions put on it.
