Like I mentioned in the other post, I think the gearing is a lot shorter than the 7AFE's stock box, but I can't say for sure either. It could be that the gearing is the same, but the final drives are different, or it could be that the gearing is simply different. Either way, best to try it out and see if you like the power transfer. I personally think shorter gearing would hurt a 7AFTE more than it'll help... but the 4AGZE tranny is a lot stronger. Might wanna try and ask AE92 guys...

well lsd is a good thing anyways, and stronger is better anyways even though an na probably couldn't do much damage but gear wise, how it would help/hurt torque in first, ect.... plus plans for more engine work

does anyone know the fearing on the 4agze tranny?

cause i would think with it being a supercharged engine the gear ratios would be much longer thus slowing down your sotck 7afe.

Former: 96 GT 5 speed (i/p/e) Fate- rear ended by mack truck
00 GTS 6 speed (i/ Bored TB 63mm - 68.5mm w/ butterfly/ Ported IM/ IMG/ PFC/ Commander/ datalogit/ Ported & heat wrapped Header/ Decat/ UEGO/) 193FWHP 14.2(1/4mi) @98mph, 2.12 60ft (just intake, unbolted Exhaust, and gutted) Fate- side swipped by 18 wheeler at 75mph.

Next: maybe an elise

No... this tranny can hold probably beyond a 224mm flywheel.

Gearing will most likely be shorter. The 4AGZE delivers a good mid-ranged powerband but is not as responsive a motor as the 7AFE in the low-end. Like I mentioned above, I'm pretty certian either the final drive or the gearing will be much shorter. Taller gearing will work for the benifit of a 7AFTE IMO... because of the great low-mid range torque it makes...
