Link didn't work for me, and neither did www.sponsorme.com ('sponsor' being the proper way to spell it)...

There might be some useful info here if you're looking to land sponsors, but nothing really about what your car needs to win shows.

its a dumb processing fee. its a small step into getting sponsored. but you gotta be sponsored to get more sponsors! I say dont expect too much from it.

im tryin to get a full $25,000 sponsorship from them. but i am under their 12,000 co-pay sponsorship right now. since there isnt much parts for the celica its really hard for them to get me anything. But they can get deals with ViS, Options Autosalon, Manaray Motorsport, and some places in the east coast. I live in the west so i cant use their dyno faucilities or their main garages.

co-pay sponsorships entitle me to get whole sale prices and what not or get things for free if possible.

I am tryin to get a complete swap from them. But at the moment im failing. I plan on dropping the sponsorship if things dont go my way. sounding like a brat? well to tell you guys the truth i havent gotten much help from them. cuz i have to work with eastern time and i dont wake up until 12 noon pacific standard which makes it 3 pm for them. and often they are busy and are off already.

but i bet if you put more effort than i do things will be better.

from what I heard, Some isnt going to sponsor you, until your car is already half way there.. There not going to do it if your cars pretty much stock, an a cai dosnt work.. lol , but I dont think it would be worth it.. I was told I could have one an get stuff at cost but I need to buy a lip kit atleast.. but then im not going to drive to shows all the time.. I dont think there worth it.. unless you get lucky. cause behind everything they give you, theres about 10 rules behind it..

Do you guys think i could get a sponsership for a couple thousand or some discount engine parts. I want to do a swap but don't have the money. I would go to every show within driving distance, so do you think i could?

i've been sponsered twice by the same guy.
first time was when i had the trible grafix and aluminum wing.
now i have a partial sponsership from them.
just means i don't pay for labor, just the parts.

I really doubt any one will give you the money to do the swap, unless your car was crazy.. an I mean custom everything..

I don't want all the money to do the swap. I just wanted a discount or some free labor like Phat 99CeliGT. What do you mean by custom everything?

how do you go about getting a sponsor?
Do all sponsors really enforce that you go to car shows and such, or is it mainly a magazine type-thing to their name gets out?

I'm curious if I got my exterior to a pt, if i could possibly get a sponsorshipt o help me with the rest of my work-to-be-done

just find a co you would like to be sponsered by and send them a formal letter requesting sponsership, just make sure you sound enthusiastic about how they could help you and how you would do everything in your power to help them ie: shows and such, no one is going to give some dude that just wants a sweet car to drive around free parts, you have to work at it and show them you are going to get their name out and give them advertismen and a good name

Ive been offered sponcerships before... Main one was when I had my hood made. You get sent a contract to sign.

The main rules are.

Must have 3 or more decals/stickers of the sponser on your car, 1 of which must be on the front windshield.

Must have proof of the car being at all shows assigned by the sponser. IE recepts and pics.

Must get permission to sell the car from sponser.

Under terms of sale the sponser may ask for all the product back or pay the retail value of the product.

That is the best way to do it. The sportscompactpro thing is kinda like a weird scam, it's not so much like a sponsorship as it is a distribution center. They buy alot of stuff so they can offer it at like 20% off. and they call it a sponsorship, all and all they really aren't going to do a awhole lot for u. Like someone said it's hard to find parts for our cars. and it takes even longer for their parts guys to find stuff, and in their supporting companys there is like nothing. so it's not really worth it. they can't get u a front clip or anything that anyone would want. I would much rather spend $80 to be a member of this community then something like that smile.gif.
