I'm going to get some new rims come spring and I have a question..
The wheels are probably gonna be 16x9 Whatever the case, I am very picky and I really dont want the wheels to be "too far in" by this I mean I want them sticking out more than most people have them. I want them sticking out far enough so that they are 'flush' with the side of the car.. Will this have an averse affect of the handling and can it be done? -------------------- |

sure it could be done, I think that size it would be close.. But I would never want somthing that wide, the tire costs way to much to replace.. and its a waste of extra wight thta your car is going to be draging.. not really worth it. But you could get spacers for any size wheels.. I would say get some nice 16x7, then spacers, or there are these kits that change the lug pattern and are completley safe, and would at least give you around an extra 1/2- 2inch's depending on want you order, but there like 50 bucks each.. but less cost for wheels and less cost for tires..

I heard bad things about spacers they just not realible according to research that I did. Its better to get wider rim, lets say not less then 8 and its more grip on the corners. BTW I have 17x8.

I have spacers on my wheels and I've had no problems at all.
