many reasons:
1) fiberglass is much cheaper to make molds for 2) fiberglass is much cheaper to fill the molds, and is a cheaper material to use 3) fiberglass can be layed by hand, by spray or by machine, urethane can only be layed one way, which is much more envolved 4) alot of mold and pattern making faucilities either dont have the ability to build a urethane pattern, or to fill it. 5) invested price per part is cheaper for fiberglass 6) they can use the "close enough" philosophy with fiberglass because it is simple to adjust, for the most part urethane is not adjustable after the mold is set so if it doesnt fit correctly it doesnt fit period. theres many more reasons, but thats the basics behind it. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... Since it's more expensive than fiberglass, and our cars aren't popular like many other tunermobiles, no company has any interest to design them. It probably wouldn't make ends meet for them.
