It has been raining today and I got off work awhile ago and went to see my girlfriend at her work. When I left to come home I noticed the parking lot completly cleared out of cars and it's all wet from the early rains. Anyone catching on to what I was thinking? biggrin.gif

I had fun! I looked to make sure no cops were around and then just gas it, pull the e-brake and let her slide. Practiced a few drift moves. Did that for about 3-5 minutes and then headed home. Kinda made me wish I had another rear-wheel drive car.

Next time I get a chance like that I'll get a video camera and tape it. Mabey get some friends involved.

(that reminds me, I need to post the pics of my car so you guys can see. I was gonna wait till my clear highs came in so I could post them all at one but I'm tired of waiting. PICS THIS WEEK!)

"Drift" moves? Hahahaahahah. Sorry. Yanking an E-brake in a FWD car is not going to make you as cool as Takumi.

ha.

I learned the hard way not to do it on streets also. I only do it in empty parking lots after the stores are closed so i don't hit anybody.

Ok, I used to drive rear-wheel drive cars before the celica. I miss it. I know drifting is for the rear.

But pulling the e-brake, cranking the wheel a quarter turn one way, droping e-brake while turning one half turn the other way will get you sliding sideways... rolleyes.gif

Still fun though

I shouldn't be so harsh. I once saw a Honda Civic hatch drifting really damn well. It was in Japan and I haven't been able to find the video.

Depending on conditions and car setup you can drift FF cars.

Most drifters will call it "ass dragging" tho. =p

well you can always put trays under your tires so you don't really have to worry about the tire getting a flat spot. its also alot of fun.

and i like ass draggin....

last night i was in my mom's volvo s40 1.8T
and wooo it was fun coming down a hill around 30 turnef left onto a road and entering the turn pulled the E-brake i was facing the left side curb about 15* from facing perfectly at it.....wheel turned pretty far right and foot floored on the gas stayed sideways for about 30- feet

its fun stuff to do but ff drifting is like cicuit driving. the back slides an all, yay. Oh yes, i was doing this fine for about couple of months until one day when i hit this bump on the road and there goes my car flying into the fields. See, i was smart enough to not do it anywhere near houses but now my suspension squeeks due to stockness.

LOL

Drifting is scary! But hella fun! Gotta story simalar to that. Me and my friend were driven around late at night once, specifically looking for places to drift, and we came into a mall and even though there were cars around and the lot wasnt all the wet and slick, we still did it. And yeah, we used the E-brake. LOL Thats the only way i can drift. Then after we drifted for a couple times, we realized that the mall does have secruiety and we got outa there fast. Good times.... but too its bad for the car. frown.gif I dont like hurting my Celica. It makes me sad. So I dont drift no more...

But sounds like fun! I'd so try that if I wasn't so afraid of hurting my celica wink.gif

i dont know how many times i've almost been/ have been in an accident because of people being crazy in the snow. i personally very rarely do any time of unecessary "drifting" in the snow.
