Ok relay calls suck ass. You have to try & talk to the customer through this "middle man" operator & after every thing you say, you have to tell the middle man to "Go ahead" so that they know your done talking...Oooh it sucks....luckily I was only 3 min late for my break *whew*

Good thing I only get those types of calls about once or twice a year...just wondering if anyone else has ever taken those types of calls?

those are awesome.
you can say WHATEVER you want, and they have to type it...or vice-versa...type whatever you want and they have to say it.

they do a good job at keeping their composure tongue.gif

some, and i do say only SOME of my friends have been using IP relay to prank other firends to be funny for over a year now... its kinda sad to me- way to take somthing to make deaf people's lives easier and use it to say things like "ohh D'janase gunna get turrrned out tonight girl, yank my braids, you know you wanna hit this like sandpaper on wood, ect..." (yeah thats the last time i was around when they were doing it, and its edited btw...)... it can be funny but its soo so wrong...

all my customer relations are person to person, I only use my phone to talk to my boss etc. but it soulds like a load of fun, you can call the customer a (blank blankity) and make the middle man say it for ya, making them responsable.

LMAO, it takes like twenty minutes for us to get them off the phone. I work at the bank so we gotta tell them their balance, checking history, payments, withdrawals, its truly ghey.

as far as i know, its a sort of service funded, for def people. so they can type to a person, and that person talks to who the def person is trying to get ahold of. Its like a random person talking for the def person.

but thats really fuccked up you guys are taking advantage of that service.. How old are we??

I though it was when one person talks to another person to talks to the third person and then tells the 3rd what the first said, and the 1st what the 3rd said (sux to be the the monkey in the middle), because 3 way colling is just to complicated for those less technoligy savy and a direct call to the 3rd from the 1st is out of the question. maybe i should actualy read the other posts.

the ip relay which what most of the people are talking about is like doug said a service for deaf people... the deaf person will type on the computer what they want said, and a middle man will tell it to whoever the deaf person is trying to talk to....

my friends use to prank call people on that, and i said the same thing.... thats horrible...
