This happened awhile ago.... but yah, I think its jammed.

My antenna when its go up, for some reason when it gets to a certain point (really really close to how far its suppose to stretch out) it suddenly makes this loud noise like... uhhh....

REHHHHHHHHHH! LOL ya... anyways

The first time this happend, jumped outa my car and pulled up on it slightly and it stopped the noise and it worked as if nothing happend. Then when I put down the antenna, it wouldn't go down unless I slightly pushed it down...

yah.. I think somewhere a long the tubing in the antena its jammed slightly.... my dad thinks the thing is just sticky, and when he checked it out, I thought he was gonna snap the damn thing in half! He was mean to it frown.gif

But yeah, what do yall think, and got any suggestions?

exactly!! my antenna stopped working, it would make this griding sound as it was trying to go up. So finally i decided to just rip it out and put in the s2K antenna.

same thing happened with my moms camry. Her antenna would jam. She fixed it by by buying a lexus.

oil the stick that moves on the antenna..

put oil on the top and let it drip down, and then turn off your radio so it could retract.

do that several times and see if that helps

Same with mine. I unplugged it and am now waiting for my S2k antenna in the mail. Except about the Lexus part.

I got the s2000 one, but Im just going to weld the hole close and shave it. My alarm has a pager with it, and the antennea for it works good for my stereo antenna. The antenna is a viper window strip antenna.

Yep, same here... and I thought it was the motor so I tore it out and did a stationary antenna conversion.. did a rubber one first (was stolen) then did chrome (looked crappy) so I went back to a universal power antenna to have it down for shows ($31) but found out it was only the mast.. $12 frown.gif
