Just bought a 97 celica(auto). The tranny is leaking when it idles only, and only on the left side(if looking from front). Im thnking either over filled fluid, or bad gasket? Any one have any other ideas if I am not right, if I am correct, tell me too

Thanks
Jeremy

yea sounds like your seals need to be replaced... simple repair... but one of those things that just pain in the ass to do .. but still simple.... and once you have the tranny out check yout Tq-Converter.. for any leaks.. and your gears .. just check the whole tranny so you don't have to end up taking it out in a few months....

Do you really have to remove the tranny to replace the seals around the differential? I thought they just popped in and out.

i think he means that taking out the tranny seal and putting a new one in is easy....but you have to do a lot of work to get to that point...

its like doing a new heater core.... parts $20 ...laybor $600
