Hello,

I'm looking around for some gauges/meters for in the celica.
I got a Lo-tek a-style for 3 meters.
But no gauges!!! biggrin.gif

i saw a few nice priced meters, but i see these kind of meters everywhere, so they aren't very unique.

So, my question is;
What kind of meters do you guys got and can you show me some pictures of it ?

i already looked on the internet for some meters but i rather do hear some user comments before i'm gonna buy something.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

I Got AutoMeter C2 series gauges and I like them alot, But if you get them make sure to hook up a seperate dimmer knob. autometer isnt the best but they are cheap, and work good for what I need.

I bought:
A/F
vac / boost
Oil Presure
volt
water temp
nitrous
fuel pressure
EGT

I know its alot, but sense I am putting damm near 10k into my car I want to monitor everything!

I dont have any car setups made yet.. but its coming along. I am gonna mount 3 like tuffys under the deck, then gonna make a 4pod mounting thing for the glove/air bag area. then the nitrous gauge is gonna be mounted like coomers, but on the other side of the with my activation switches next to it.

the nexus gauges are not out yet. they will be out next year and cost about 2-300$ each. as cool as they look i dont think i would spend that much on autometer.

what is actually the difference between the brands, al the meters doing almost the same. is it the durabillity and brand where you pay for or are there more things?

I rather pay a bit more money for some meters and that the will last a long time (maybe i can take them to my next car) than that i buy some cheapass things that will break down after taking a speedbump smile.gif

durability and build quality. also, some gauges are more accurate.

i hear good things about vdo gauges. cheap and work well. http://www.42draftdesigns.com/vdo.htm

autometer is ok to, but after a few months of owning them, my boost gauge started to read 1psi with the car off. i had to take it apart and zero the guage. now it works fine again.

here is an old pic of my gauges....

the current setup is boost, air to fuel (soon to be replaced by something usefull), and oil pressure, in a lotek pod.
