I just bought a new pioneer deck, tried to install it tonight. wired it up to the harness best buy sold me. plug it in. it doesnt work. well taking a closer look at my harness in the car it is a freinkin stein of wires sliced here spliced there, bare wires all over the place. to make a long story short the guy that had the car before me was a dumb arse and tried to do some funky stuff in there. so now i have to bring it all back down to basics and go wire by wire and make sure everything is hooked up correctly. kinda sucks. but its a learning experience

That sucks big time. I would go back to BestBuy (assuming you bought the deck there) and have them install it. It's totally free for the deck but you may have to pay for them rewiring that stuff.
