Nice...there has been some chatter about these recently. We definitely have to keep this thread alive to see what this setup is all about. See if the quality is there and everything.
BTW what did you do to your old turbo!!? |

educate me lol. trim is the size of the intake impeller compared to the exhaust impeller right?.. i read these number off the site. .42/.48 A/R do they make sense?
as for the old turbo is was an 88 ct-26 from a supra. it was 16 years old. and i ran it 13 psi instead of the stock 8. it basicly jsut plan out broke. the shaft that connect the intake impeller to the exhaust side snapped. Boo.. This post has been edited by x_itchy_b_x: Jan 4, 2005 - 11:03 AM -------------------- |

Boo.. Yeah; they make sense; this should spool just as fast as the CT26; if not a tiny bit faster; you're no longer in prime turbo efficiency at 8 psi anymore; you need to goto like 10; and then the sweet spot holds until like 15. I think |

if your right. 10psi is gunna be where ill stay. and ur saying it will spool faster than a newer ct26. the supra ct26 i was told by a fellow 5sfte that the older ct26 is a pig and the newer one spools faster than it by far. so maybe ill get a nice improvement

It'll probably spool abou the same as a newer CT |

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=19340 I was talking about this and I know there are a couple other topics out there about the recent turbo kits that are popping up on eBay now. Not the same seller but there similar setups, one sellers making 7a-fe and ones makin 5s-fe kits. Remote mounted turbo setups dont make a whole lot of sense to me |

Is this the first person using a t3? I figuered someone else already had. What's the story on the t3 manifold? Need a new one or just a flange? Also, i know with a ct u usually push around 6-8 psi for safety reasons. With a t3 is it different bring a bigger turbo? Come one Shid, I know you whack off to these nightly.

i got it in today from ups. its cool. everything was very clean. one off the support braces in the hood is gunna have to cut so the wastegate wont hit the hood when closed. its tight. um everything seems to be good. ill have to rework my intercooling pipe a little and exhast as expected duh. manifold is nice. but heres my main concern. the shaft does not spin freally?.... and he said it was jsut rebult and hasnt been used since. u can tell it def hasnt been used. maybe it hasnt broken in? it will spin then studder then spin.. my dad said once it heats up an the mettal expands it should be fine. any thoughts. ill post pics later tonight. im off to circuit city to work now.
also im doing a compression test tommorow. lets see how much damage the ct-26 did This post has been edited by x_itchy_b_x: Jan 11, 2005 - 5:21 PM -------------------- |

Wow, I didn't even realize it came with a manifold. n i c e.. Hopefully its nice.
Slow, this T3 turbo is almost the exact same size as the CT26.. I think? Whats the trim size on an 88 supra CT26? If not smaller? |

well, good luck on that.
I hate to say it, but I'm in the same situation your in itchy. My turbo just went out on me this last sunday. It's leaking tons of oil and chunks of it's guts flew out of my exhaust. INSANE ......... I'm looking to upgrade right now, actually next week. But i'm gonna send my turbo to get rebuilt completely, hopefully with a 54 and 60 trim. |

at times like these, it makes me not want to install a turbo in my car.
they require so much maintanence. |
