Well, i wrote this in F/S forums, im im writing this here too, that every one could see this, and know that emanage is not that expensive and etc.

As no one asked me before, But i said, IGNITION/Injectors wiring is EASY and cheap to make your self.

The optional plug on emanage is like all MAZDA interior wiring plugs, so go to scrap yeard and check this out, then you get the plug, now go and get some wires, with colors like on greddy emanage, solder them into the plug, and here ya go, you just saved 70$

Second, there is a yahoo groups about emanage, there you can get PC cable for half price (50$ + shipping) and you can even get 3 bar map for about 30$. And there is lots of info.

Third, software can be found on the net too (yahoo groups ) for free, and you can get english manuals too. just do some research wink.gif

so now lets count 269 for emanage + 5$ for ignition/injectors wiring, 50$ for cable and free software... so you got 324$... full packadge...

3 bar greddy map sensor is optional, you still must use your stock MAP, the optional map is just for emanage, that you could more accuratly adjust your fuel tables, then stock map exceds his limits... and then you tune your car on dyno, it is not really nessesary...

here ya go..

knew that already... most people go for a 3 bar gm sensor cheap you can find em in any junkyard that has american cars. and by the way emanage isn't all that great there are better piggy back fuel systems for much cheaper and are easier to tune.

well why didnt you told us all?

And by the way, if you say there are better piggy back fuel systems for cheaper that can do even more, why didint you list them?

Cuz personaly for $ and things you can do - emanage in my opinion is one of the best options...

There are Megasquirt EMS, its cheaper, but not everyone can do it.

3bar map sensor from GM is suitible too, yes, i heard this too, but i wasnt sure on this. I Have to try to say more..

ohh and the 3 bar map sensor you can use any map sensor out there for the piggy back system as long as it's a 2 bar or above sensor a lot of people use the gm one cuz there are so many of them cuz american cars suck and they all end up in the jumkyard in like 8 years anyways so there is a bunch load of them in the junkyard; their easy to find and their cheap.

I was looking at the feature lists on those pages and I have two questions.

First, neither one mentions being able to move the rev limiter. How is this tackled besides paying to mod the ecu?

And the smt6 page talks about afm setup but not MAP. It does handle MAP, correct?

AFM and MAP still put out voltage signals, so it doesn't really matter. So long as it's set correctly (AFM or MAP), it should handle both fine. Some older AFMs however read on a different voltage range and do not work with piggybacks. As for rev limiters, piggybacks just override the ECU fuel maps and/or ignition maps. They cannot alter ECU safety controls like fuel-cuts and such. Piggybacks still rely on the stock ECU for core operations...
