5th gen cams and 3S cams, Whats the specs? Or were do I find them? Options

I was wondering about the cam specs on the 5th gen 5S-FE to see if they are any more high end oriented than my 94 cams. Also, I'm pretty sure the 5th gens will fit, but what about the 3S models? Are they any better, if so, will they fit? I doubt the 3S's will fit, but I'd be happy if they did. Thanks ya'll.

How do you know they won't fit? Did you try this? Do you know from first hand expereince? Please don't give me info that you've read on here before or just pulled out of the sky. I'm not saying that's what you did [I]thedevilmaycrie[/I, I'm just saying that to others. I'm sick of info that gets thrown around as trueth when no one really knows, it's all just based on something some quack said along time ago and got so circulated that every just thinks it's the trueth now. It just upsets me.

i know first hand experience... im a mechanic for one and second ive dont a 3sgte swap on my celica, and third for your proof... the 5sfe intake cam is the only one that connects to the timing belt and the exhaust connects to the intake my a lil gear under the valve cover where as both 3s intake and exhaust cams connect to the timing belt... for future reference please dont test me everyone here that knows me knows that if i say something that has to do with the celicas its true, otherwise i dont open my mouth...

I'm pretty sure all 5SFE cams will interchange. 3SG cams won't work... 3SFE cams will work...

Thanks Kawanza, I figured the 5S's would work. So anyone know were I could get the specs on them? Or anyone have the specs already? As for the 3S-FE cams, is that only the European cars? Or is there an American side car with this engine? Also, anymore information with adequate validity on the 5S-FE cams and 3S-FE cams would be appreciated. Thanks.

And as for thedevilmaycrie, I will question any one I please. That seems to be the only way to get truthful information around here. I'm not excepting the "I thinks" and the "I knows" without sufficient proof. I think there needs to be a lot more of that around here. This site frequently lacks the proof that I need to be satisfied. I'm just trying to fight it. If you want to keep giving little short answers with no explanation why, and griping at me when I ask for proof, then say out of my topics.

Kwanwa has proven himself to me, DMC hasn't yet. I don't think it's to much to ask for proof in things. And I thought it wasn't polite or aloud on this site to say things like DMC did in response to what I said. This site has been on a downward spiral for some time now. I wish it was a site were people who loved cars, and owned Celica’s, could get together and share information on them without fighting with each other and using inappropriate language. People are starting to act a lot more like bratty little teenagers, than respected tuners. There needs to be more regulations on here, this is getting ridicules.

I am seriously interested in finding the specs and information on these cams. If anyone can help, please do.

Screw you, no one's going to want to help you. You're not even even smart enough to pull off a cam swap if you're thinking of doing it. The price vs power gain is not in your favor.

We <3 DMC lol. Its like a bunch of bigger brothers jumping in to save the little one.

As for 5sfe cams. as far as i know a 5sfe cam is the same year around. might have been a slight change but not enough to go pulling your cam out for. The 3sfe hasn't been tried and talked about yet on this site as far as i know. be sure to research how to pull your 5sfe cams correctly cause there is a gear holding the two together. Messing that up can cause major idle problems. I'd leave a post over at www.mr2oc.com and ask the 5sfe gurus over there. They've done and seen it all.

I was asking everyone to see if someone has already done this research. I have done a lot of my own research and if anyone would like to take the time to quiz on cars, you’re more than welcome. I know my stuff. I was just wanting some help. I have helped others, not near as much as some of these other guys, but I felt I deserved some respect. I never thought the questions I asked were wrong to ask. All of you jumping on me just further proves my point. I've about lost my composer when it comes to dealing with this issue. It is all I can do to keep from writing a ton of insulting curse words like a stupid little teenager on an unrestricted forum. I will give respect were respect is due. Those who so respect to me and the things I ask, I will return it ten fold. If anyone cares to due research on me, you'll find that out.

Thanks 1bwilson. I'll ask around over there. I didn't realize I was doing anything to cause any one to jump on me. I didn't think I was picking on or making fun of anyone. I've already been into the 5s head, so I knew how the gearings for the cams work. Any little cam gain would be better I believe, especially when you can get them cheap.
