Just wondering who's done it and how big of a pain in the ass it is. I'm gonna have to do mine soon, so any tid-bit of tips would be cool.

pretty bad... when you do this youll have to change your timing belt as well... i believe its in the same location as the 3s water pump... like in between your alt and a/c but closer to the block... i believe the exhaust, a/c, alt are the only components you'll have to remove... but make sure you change your timing belt ...

Yep, pretty much same steps as timing belt, just a few extra bolts on the water pump itself, easy enough to do, may need to rent/borrow a puller for the lower pulley, otherwise just standard tools. Get used to the idea of using a regular wrench on a lot of the bolts and taking your time, a ratchet wont fit on a lot of them. I dont remember having to remove any exhaust parts though,,, did need to remove rt motor mount and support the engine on a jack.

I'm pretty sure it's not, but the water pump isn't belt driven, right?
