i feel like sellin my celi. to many problems with it. 150k+ miles and i have a feeling that the previous owner didnt maintain the car very well. everything is going wrong with it. 1st shift linkage cables. then radiator. then axles. now the vert, clutch, shocks, something in the engine bay(possibly the motormounts), and something in the front suspension. if things keep going this way, i'll be in debt forever. i hate it!!!

keep in mind when cars get that old with that many miles, all those things go. those are norm things that should be warn on your car with the mount of use it has. you could a sell and buy somthing else that you dont know anything else about, or B fix em and be happy. I would say if you do fix them, plan on keeping your car for awhile.

yeah..older car....just normal wear and tear items. You could be having REAL problems like tranny not going into gears, blown engines, electrical problems but celica's are pretty good so you should be ok smile.gif

You could wait on struts and timming belt popstar. Just wait till it gets warmer and do it yourself...Get you a set of KYBs for around 300$ and timming belt/water pump/tensioner for about 150$ and go at it when you get the time! If the timing belt breaks before them it wont damage anything (we have a non-interference engine).

Thanks Bufferdan smile.gif

the info on the non-interference engin is a weight off my mind...

one of the earlier cars i had, the belt went and i bent valve stems and killed the engin frown.gif

as for the shocks, i'm going to get them looked at this weekend and maybe new bushies will get me through to the warmer weather....
