just wanted to tell everyone how my project was moving along. i did have a t3 turbo, but just bought a kkk k24 turbo with t3 flange. got rid of my hks ssqv bov and got a pierburg bov. i am told that it is 4 times louder than the hks. starting on my manifold this weekend. i decided just to keep my exhaust manifold, cut it and weld a turbo flange onto it. save me a few hundred dollars. bought spearco intercooler. got my turboxs manual boost controller. i just need to get my fmu and start goin at it. i will have pics up when i get it done. estimated total price= $600.

good luck welding the cast exhaust manifold. if you dont do it right it will crack. not to mention it will most likely always be weak.
so far i have paid around $1000 for all my things and that includes a catback exhaust. i just need time to put it all on.(im in no real ruch though, being that gas is around $2.50 for premium, which is what i will have to run) and the bov, 4 times louder? damn will you ever attract attention. im making mine sleeper style. my friend swears that he will put on a GTR badge as soon as i am done just to provoke other people. oh and btw, dont forget a check valve(if you dont have one) good luck -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

yeah, be careful with the stock exhaust mani. it's not meant to hold boost, and especially if you compromise the structural integrity by cutting and welding onto a place that's not meant to be changed. i'm not doubting your skill as a welder, i'm sure you can do a lot better than i can, but i won't be surprised when your manifold blows if you try and boost over like 5 psi. you also need oil lines, did you get those? and if you don't upgrade the injectors, you will run waaaaay lean over 5 psi, that's about all the stock injectors can handle. -------------------- 1994 Lexus ES300

At what stage were you with the T3? I'd like to hear the pierburg bov you mentioned about. All in all, I give you best of (good) luck.

www.jgstools.com get their turbo manifold kit for $250. they will make a flange for your turbo and all you will have to do is weld the flange to the manifold. that is what i am going to order soon(it was included in my earlier quoted cost) -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
