I would think that the original is always going to be better. And the hks ssqv is supost to be one of the best BOV's on the market, especially for low boost aplications if you want a louder sound.

i have the one that supras.nl sells, the sound of the BOV is very nice, even better than the original HKS one that my mate has on his mkiv.

some things you can buy a clone for, other things you cant, but im very pleased so far with the clone i have, it even looks the same lol

The sound is different because of the engine, not the clone...unless its a different fin.

i ask because of this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

i figured i could hit two birds with one stone. The person also sells pre made weld on flanges as well as pipe with the flanges welded on. But when i saw that he sells the pipe with the flange welded on and a cloned ssqv it got me thinking.

What do you guys think about that

thats too much money for a clone bov. u can a clone one for like 100$ and a weld on flange for 10-20$. any muffler shop can weld it on for you for cheap.

a BOV as complex as the SSQV, i wouldnt take the risk of buying a clone.

btw, i got my SSQV for free.

my friend has a SSQV on his 240Z with a turbo motor. Our BOV's sound identical, despite vastly different engine/turbo/intercooler setups
