So there's no way to do a FWD 6 speed Celica? Not that I was considering it but it would be something cool to see. |

either way, i'm sure you could get a sh*t load of money for the 6 speed trans. i wonder if it bolts up to a 2jz? if so, the supra guys would be on it like decals on a civic.

i doubt it would work, those are two completly dif engines. Actually, it's a W series tranny, so it may very well bolt up to the 2JZ. Here's some info... 22R (trucks/rwd celicas) bolts up to the same tranny as the 3/5VZ (trucks and tacos), the 3/5VZ is the same as the 2VZ (early 2.5 camrys), the 2VZ is the same as the 1MZ (later 3.0 Camrys solaras), the 1MZ shares a pattern with the 3SGE, which shares with our very own 5SFE... A popular direct swap for the trucks, 7MG, which bolts up to that same 22R bell, and strangely enough, the 7MG's also share the same trans pattern with the 1/2JZ... There are minor differences between the bellhousings, such as shaft sizes and splines, etc... but the bell housing patterns are all rpetty much the same.
