I have posted a a few posts about body kit fitting and it seems that not many of the knowledgable members of the site have responded, so I am posting this under a new topic in hopes of getting some pointers.
I have a 95 Coupe. I purchased the Invader kit and have fitted the front bumper and side skirts. The rear bumper however does not fit AT ALL. It was supposed to be a bumper made for the coupe but obviously it is not. I have done some dremeling and have figured out a way to mold it so it blends well with the tire well area. However, I have just now found out that the curvature where the rear panel sits above the bumper is not even close to being correct. I measured the distance between the top of the stock bumper where it mounts and near the top of the trunk opening where the rear panel sits. It measures somewhere around 11 inches or so. With the new bumper, the distance is about 10, a good one inch too high, and the width of where the rear panel sits in is about a 1/2 to small as well. I hope this is making since so far. I am wondering if anyone has encountered similar issues with this bumper. I have spent 10 hours so far on this bumper alone. I am at the point now that I have to either shave everything down, and use chickenwire and fiberglass to manually mold it to fit, or I just throw everything away an say F it. I really need some help, anyone that has any ideas or has encountered problems with this rear bumper and knows how I can solve it would be much appreciated. -------------------- Armed? -------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
