Hey everyone!

I'm new to posting on here (but have been reading the topics and such for about 7+ months) and I make this thread in need of assistance.

Ok, I've been trying to purchase a nice, well-maintained Celica for a year or two now. I finally have a job that will allow me to pay for it and I've found one here.
The problem is: the car is in Maryland and I'm in North Carolina. I can't go up there to inspect it like I want to right now so I'm asking if any Baltimore, MD 6gc members could check it out for me and tell me a Celica owner's opinion and value for the car that way I won't be making a trip later in the month for nothing. If anyone can please help PM me and I'll give you the address of the car and everything. We can discuss reimbursement if you'd like also.

Thanks in advance and good driving to all!

Brian

I wanted one when I was younger but I'd much rather have an automatic for now; maybe a manual later on. But I really do hope someone can help me.

And thanks for the warm reception.

I'm in Fayetteville 2003cbgts (about 2 hours from the coast and 1 hour from the SC border).

And it's a GT vangSTa.

I live in rockville MD and wouldn't mind helping you out. I wouldn't be able to buy the car though and then have you reimburst me. Not enough money to help you out there. But if you want, you can get a cashier's check and make it out to the person, mail it to me, and then I can give it to them or whatever other options there are.

i think he meant that he'd pay you for your troubles if you like. i think hes going to pay for the car straight up and he just needs someone to inspect the car for him before he goes and buys it.

yea, i saw the three stage paint part too. If he wants, and if the seller is willing, I could take it to my mechanic who specializes in toyota. He told me this integra i was thinking about buying had a front end collision even before I got out of the car. It looked perfect though, but he popped the hood and showed me. He's too good. Only problem is that my mechanic lives in rockville, and the seller might not let me take the car from baltimore to rockville, not exactly close.

wuhukf,

Yeah, I meant I'd pay for your gas and what not to go check the car out for me. I'll call the seller and see if he wouldn't mind accompanying you to Rockville (he's on Spring break this week) and have the car inspected by your mechanic (who would be an independent 3rd party with experience in Toyotas). Any help you could offer will be greatly appreciated I should have some more information and the seller's response by tonight.

Thanks!
