I've got the 2nd gen 3s in a 6g. I used the st and 3s fuel line(fuel filter to the fuel rail), and spliced them together. What did you guys use? Will the gt fuel line work?

can you post a pic of your setup? it seems kind of strange that you had to splice any of those lines.
on my car i just have the stock 3sgte fuel line connected to my 5sfe fuel filter. the fuel line is a little too short, but you can work around that by only bolting your fuel filter with one bolt and bending the bracket a little. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

the stock 3s line is a little short, but all you have to do is unbolt your fuel filter from the chasis and move the line closer. then after you connect everything, you can bolt the fuel filter back up using only one bolt and bending its bracket a little.

I didn't want the fuel filter bouncing around. No one used the GT line??? I think I'm going to have a shop make me one to fit.

Now I have the big turbo on there. At 9psi it runs out of fuel and starts sputtering. Granted I still have stock injectors. An upgrade is needed. However, with the fuel spliced I used a coupler inside, which reduces the inside diameter of my fuel line a little bit. I'd say under 1/8". This isn't much, but it still restricts flow just a bit. I'm going to remove a bunch of stuff like throttle body and piping to remove the fuel rail. So I guess I'm definetely going to take off the whole fuel line and take it somewhere and see what they can do. Actually, what if we got some longer bolts and made 2 block extensions which would bring the fuel filter closer to the motor. Who knows how short the 3s line is? Maybe we can just extend the bracket.

You only need like 2" more length on the 3s line to get it to bolt to the filter.
I would make a 3-4" spacer if you plan on doing that because the stock engine mounts flex a good bit. you dont want it to just make it and then get pulled off when you hammer down lead foot! DG -------------------- |

You're right. Now we're into the issue of 4" bolts(that aren't thick in diameter) holding too much weight. I'm gonna take the line somewhere and see what they can do. Let you guys know in about 2 weeks.
