Would having oversized injectors be a bad thing? Like, having 1000cc injectors for example.. I know it is a good thing if you need insane amounts of fuel, but on a otherwise stock car. Would you loose any performance or mpg from having bigger injectors than you really need?

u better have a decent mod list if ur gonna run 1000cc injectors. like supersprynt said you'll run very rich, regardless of if u have intake and exhaust. It's just a waste of money. And if ur using more fuel, i'd assume ur mpg would go down. more power = less mpg in most cases

Not sure about MPG...but running larger injectors would gain small HP numbers if you have a computer to control it. Your stock ECU has been programmed to work with the stock injectors.

If you increase the size of those injectors you need to remap your fuel curve as well.

Okey, thanks guys. Was just wondering. Nothing I'm planning to do anyway. Got the idea from this tuner video of a 99 Civic Si that got turboed and tuned at Central Florida Turbo. 553 whp was the result. 170bhp is what the car started out with.

Most of the stuff was custom built though. Turbo, piping, header you name it. They used 1000cc injectors and I was like, wow.. Cause they only used like 440cc on an Integra that they also tuned to almost the same hp level. If I'm not mistaken.
