So i was watching the news this morning and they had a news story about a kid who brought their moms diabetes needle to school and was playing doctor and pricked a few kids. One kid tested positive for HIV.

thaats some scary ish!

so i think the kid had HIV before hand but now people are scared about the kids that were pricked afterwards! I read that its high unlikely to contract HIV from just a needle stick.

Scary stuff

wrong, HIV air kill time is under 30 seconds, and even within that timeframe you have a 1 in 250 % chance of contracting HIV.

Eh, at least it was by accident. On the news over here, there was a story of some crazy guy/or just a guy who went around with a contaminated needle purposely infecting anyone he felt like, I think they said 6 people were tested positive for HIV.

her five year old started freaking out in school (running around, climbing on things, talking back to the adults present, trying to hit people, etc). The kid was out of control. And apparently, this was not the first time the girl had acted in this manner. So, somebody called in the police. A couple of them put the girl in handcuffs and sat her in the back of a squad car.

Now, you think "holy hell, that's evil on a little kid no matter what"

My dad was a principal. He had things of this nature done to kids of all different shapes and sizes. You know what happened? The kids realized that he meant business, and he rarely had any more trouble out of them. They did, as it turned out, have self control.

Well, that is what these people were going to do to this girl. The mother, however, didn't like their tactics. She said that her daughter did Nothing wrong and was simply "active" Now she is sueing.. and I will bet you one of the thousand bottle caps sitting on my computer desk that she settles out of court for money.

So, let that be a lesson to all of you perspective parents out there: Don't raise your kids with any respect and you will get paid.

Sorry for dumping this into your thread Nat. wink.gif

EDIT: and just for kicks and giggles, I think Jesse Jackson found the lawyer for her.

This past week, all of the restrooms at my college had contaminated needle containers (the things you'd find in a doctors office that the nurse puts the needle in after they're done using it on you). I think its for those who has diabetes...but still, that looks horrible!
