THANKS!

Yeah it can be done but you'll need new engine mounts and a new transmission.

its also barely cheaper to swap the gt engine then the 3sgte... so why not go all the way.

true... that makes sence if you already have the engine but to redo the wiring for a 5s? Seems a little ludacris for 20 hp.

That you should search for. Its involved, its a high maintenance engine. Its used in Alltracs and MR2s, theres info all around about it. Its not for everyone especially if its your only means of transportation.

the ONLY reason you want to do a swap like that, is if you want to stay legal and only want a little amount of power.

Actually swapping any motor is illegal doesnt matter if they both are EGR. But if you dont want the maintenance or a turbo engine at all you can just put the 5s in. Its not like he wanted to do this his engine died so he needs another, a 3sgte is a big step so doing this is not stupid idk why everyones got these notions that if you do ne thing but 3s ur stupid.

Personally if I were in your boat I'd find another 7a.

im not saying anything but a 3s is stupid, but to swap a car with the 7afe mounts to a 5sfe is the same amount of labor mostly as a 3s, a 4ag another matter, I would drop in another 7a and turbo if you want some more power.

Why not just drop in a 4age or 4agze.

Yeah, the 4AGE would be an easier swap and be more fun.

But swapping in a 5SFE isn't just about the hp, it's about the torque!

A 5SFE swap would be quite easy if you can get complete donor harnesses from a GT. It'll pretty much be plug/play that way... whatever floats your boat though.
