swapers i need your help
hey

i was trying to figure out why my car pulls to one side... so i took my passengers side axel out and notice that the axel bearing bracket has 3 holes for bolts, but only 2 of them line up. is this the same problem for everyone or maybe im trying to use the wrong bracket?

the car is

90 3sgte motor
98 gt trans and axels.

Lagos has reported this problem before and confirmed it is not the 1 wheel wonder acting up

Actually, it has a lot to do w/ it. I'm just playing in that w/ my swap I will have lsd, while most other swappers out there wont have it. Essentially w/o lsd your car is gonna be one wheel drive, and thus the reason for pulling to one side. Unless I am vastly mistaken?

one wheel drive?....ah, no. open differential cars will spin both tires so long as one is not slipping. Having a differential that is not locked is also integral to turning.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Everyone jumps on the tq steer to quickly. Its not tq steer, it happens while he's already moving on the highway and stuff. Theres not enough tq up there to do that. I have 2 bolts in my bearing support and mines not doing it.

And yoru car is not 1wd. At low low speeds 1 wheel moves first before the other wheel starts, thats why you have tq steer, but it only lasts for a second or so, then both are moving.

Sorry but I can't. I ended up throwing away the axle. But I can tell you one thing for sure, the brackets from both axles are different. I'ma go out right now to see if I can take a picture of my 3S-GE Celica and 5S-FE Celica to see if it helps out.

*Edit*
After attempting to snap a picture of the axle without lifting the car, I was unsuccessful. I'll try to get the car lifted as soon as I can.

thank u

all i really need to know is.....if you look at that axel bracket, the part that bolts to the block, are all 3 bolt holes in a straight vertical row, or are there 2 holes on one side and one hole ofset to the other side.

Well if you're wondering about the bracket on the 3S-GE, here's a pic:

It's the best pic I got. For the 5S-FE, I still have to take a pic of it.

BLADDER_MASTER.... hmm, that looks just like my 5s bracket. one bolt on the left and 2 on the right.

but on the 3sgte block the 3 holes are perfeclty vertical
