Ok, right now my shocks are installed wrong and I do not know how to fix them. The shaft that you can see through the trunk is just floating and every bump the shocks arent compressing, they are just pushing upwards. If someone could just explain how everything goes together at the top it would be great. Right now the ride is terribly bumpy and there is graphite all over the place by the shaft. (I do not know much about this, I hope you mechanics out there can understand my ramble, haha)

Thank you very much,
-Petes

Little freaked out by your description -- did you not bolt it together before installing it?

Anyway, since I can't remember how to link images, this is the best I can do:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...t=7&catalogid=1

It should come up as a diagram of the front suspension (essentially everything between the strut mount and the strut should be assembled before you start attaching it to the car). The strut mount is the three-bolt connection at the top to the frame. It holds onto the strut via a nut at the top of the strut. Rears are the same.

I was not the one who put them in. I bought the car about a month ago and they were in wrong when I got it.

So by my description...what was done wrong when the previous owner put them in so I can correct it?

Personally, I wouldn't try diagnosing how it was put together wrong, I'd just take it apart and put it together right -- then get an alignment and see if the prior owner will pay for it considering it was their shoddy work that produced the problem.

I sure hope that you don't have the FRONTS springs in the REARS!! That's the only thing I can thing about your "floating" issue and why the springs aren't compressing. frown.gif

How long do you guys think it will take to take out, re-put together, and put them back in?

Not long, if you have the right tools, and have an idea of what your doing. A few hours would be my guess.
